Since 1876, six generations of the Pogue family, beginning with H.E. Pogue I, II, and III, have distilled the finest quality bourbon and rye whiskies in Maysville, KY. Today the distillery is located at the Pogue ancestral home and the site of what is believed to be the first bourbon distillery. The family is still producing small-batch bourbon using the same ingredients and methods found in the recipes of their forefathers.
