Art & Chocolate Festival, April 1st

Spring has sprung and it’s time to celebrate at the Old Washington Art and Chocolate Festival. Focusing on local artisans, demonstrations and more importantly—chocolate, it’s a delicious opportunity to taste all that this historic district has to offer. 

Limestone Cycling Tour, April 29th
Cyclists enjoy beautiful rolling hills as well as curvy, little-traveled back roads in Maysville and Mason County during the Limestone Cycling Tour. Routes include a challenging century, metric century, 40 mile and 22 mile loop. It is some of the best cycling in Northern Kentucky, and not to be missed!

Pickers & Grinners Spring Market, June 3rd
A seasonal event located in scenic Limestone Park, patrons can enjoy local live music, craft beers, regional artisans, and more.

Maysville Uncorked Wine and Art Festival, June 10th
Cheers to summer! Sponsored by the Maysville Players, Kentucky’s oldest theatrical company, this festival is all about regional wineries—with some beer and bourbon thrown in for fun.

Independence Day Parade & Fireworks, July 4th
Food, fireworks and a whole lot of fun. Enjoy an iconic parade followed by food trucks, live music and a spectacular fireworks display over the iconic Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge. It’s a blast!

M2M Paddlefest, July 29th
Grab your canoe or kayak and join fellow water lovers as we paddle along The Ohio River. The guided event begins 11 miles East in Manchester, Ohio and ends at Limestone Landing in Maysville, Kentucky. 

Old Reliable Germantown Fair, July 29th - August 5th
Beginning in 1852 by a colony of Bavarian immigrants, the 2023 Old Reliable Germantown Fair has everything a county fair could offer including rides, events, animals and fun for the whole family.

Oktoberfest, August 11th and 12th
Is it Munich or Maysville? Hard to tell when this festival comes to town. With Bavarian polka bands, beer trucks, sauerkraut or bratwurst, wiener dog races and polka dancers on every corner, we invite you to join us in raising a stein to Maysville’s German heritage.

Two-Bridge Run, September 2nd
A unique 5K and 10-miler, the Two-Bridge Run route begins in Kentucky, runs through Ohio, and circles back again to Kentucky utilizing both the historic Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge and the William Harsha Bridge.  
 
Saint Patrick School Fall Festival, September 8th - 10th
Established in 1864, Saint Patrick School hosts one of Maysville’s favorites, the Annual Fall Festival. See if the luck of the Irish is on your side with games, fun, food and more.

Simon Kenton Festival, September 16th and 17th
A two-day historical adventure in Old Washington. The 47th Annual Simon Kenton Festival includes presentations from our founding heroes such as Simon Kenton and Daniel Boone, pioneer games, music, museum tours, artisans, and much more. This weekend will be sure to provide you with historical knowledge, a treasured keepsake, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Pig Out in Maysville, September 22nd and 23rd
Taste some of the best barbecue in Kentucky as pit masters compete in the Annual Pig Out. In addition to fantastic food, Pig Out has become known for great entertainment the whole family can enjoy.

Downtown Halloween Celebration, October 28th
You never know what you’re going to see at our Halloween celebration. Trick or treating, pumpkin painting, food, Charlie Brown at the Russell Theatre—your cauldron will runneth over!

Christmas Market, December 1st
Bavarian-style holiday stalls fill Limestone Park during this seasonal favorite. The Christmas Market offers holiday items from local artisans, food, drink, and lighted decorations.

Twilight Christmas Parade, December 1st
The downtown is never more merry and bright on the evening of the Twilight Christmas Parade. Floats, music and all of the holiday cheer you can handle in one big event!

Frontier Christmas, December 2nd
Celebrate the holidays in the Old Washington Historic District—a historic 1700s village—during the 57th Annual Frontier Christmas. Handmade arts and crafts vendors line the streets and local shops and museums will be open with holiday activities for all ages.
